Everton’s veteran right-back and captain, Seamus Coleman, has been sidelined for the past two months due to a hamstring injury. As of November 21, 2024, he was still training separately from the main squad, with hopes of returning for the December 1 match against Manchester City.

In Coleman’s absence, Everton has faced a series of injury challenges. Midfielder Orel Mangala suffered a season-ending knee injury, requiring six to eight months of rehabilitation. Striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is also sidelined with a hamstring issue, awaiting specialist assessment.

These injuries have prompted manager David Moyes to seek reinforcements, particularly in the midfield and attacking positions, as the team navigates this challenging period.
